pick up their Race packet, which includes a Race T-shirt and Race bib,
at the following locations:
Ottumwa Park - Jimmy Jones Shelter

The Quincy Place Mall
Restrictions
To comply with insurance requirements:
No pets
No rollerblades or in-line skates
Strollers are permissible, following the runners/walkers
Entry Fees
Adults in the 5k Race: $15
postmarked by May 2, 2008, $20 until May 9, 2008
Students 18 and under: $10 postmarked by May 2, 2008, $15 until May 9, 2008
Race Day registration is $25
T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 2500 registrants.
No T-shirts or Race packets will be mailed.
Timing
If you would like to be eligible for medal awards, you must select to be timed for the race.
Timing is being professionally monitored and you will pick up your timing chip (to be worn around your ankle)
at the race. All chips will need to be turned in after the race. Racers are responsible for chips not
submitted. The cost for timing will be $2.
Awards Ceremony
You must be present to win. All medals will be awarded from the stage during the Awards Ceremony
following the race.
Awards will be given for three finishers in each category. You must be timed to be eligible for medal awards.
An award will be given for the largest breast cancer survivor team and for the largest business team.
Awards and times will not be given for the one-mile walk.
Teams
By definition, a team is a number of persons associated in work or
activity. Having a group of friends and family connected by an activity that supports national research
helps insure individuals in this and surrounding counties receive the services they deserve. Celebrating
and honoring friends and family members is a noble gesture of solidarity. Come join forces with us at
this year's event!

Prizes
Thanks to the generosity of our national and local sponsors we will have
a number phenomenal prizes. Your race bib will have a corner tear off number, please deposit this in the
drawing box located by the stage.
Race Course
The 5-kilometer is fast and flat,
giving participants and opportunity to run a personal-best-time.
The course begins at The Jimmy Jones Shelter House on Mallard Dr.
Travel East to Wapello St. Turn right, continue to Teal Dr. turn left,
follow around to Swan Lane turn left, continue back to Wapello St. go N.
turn right to Swallow Dr. Watch for signs at first intersection turn
right and continue back to a Mallard Dr. and then finish at the Jimmy
Jones Shelter. USATF certification.
