Where does the money go?
Up to seventy-five percent of the net proceeds from this Race will remain in the Southeast Iowa
area and will be dedicated to programs that meet the breast health needs of the medically
underserved. Last year, the Komen Southeast Iowa Affiliate granted over $67,000.
A minimum of 25 percent supports the Komen Foundation® Award and Research Grand Program,
which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and
scientific programs around the world.
